History

Founded 1930 in Spokane — one of the oldest radiology practices in the US. Merged professional group with Columbia Basin Imaging (CBI, Tri-Cities) in 2018 to form combined ~90-rad group; grew to 120+ by 2022. Operates in 4 geographic markets: Spokane, Tri-Cities, Seattle, Missoula MT. TC JV with Providence Health for 6 Spokane outpatient imaging centers. Nuvodia subsidiary provides national teleradiology and managed IT services. Notable: operates in both eastern and western WA, plus Montana — unusual geographic breadth for a private practice. UPDATE (2025): • Still listed as SR member as of Mar 2026. • Nuvodia subsidiary continues national teleradiology operations. • Key WA market differentiator: Inland Imaging covers Eastern WA (Spokane, Richland/Tri-Cities) + rural MT hospitals + 2 Alaska hospitals (Central Peninsula General Soldotna, North Star Fairbanks). Wide footprint despite independent status. EMPLOYMENT MODEL DETAIL (from IndependentRadiology.com 2025): • 120+ radiologists + 9 APPs. • Average time off for full-time radiologists: 15 weeks (with flexibility to increase or decrease). • Average after-hours obligations: 9 weekends/year + 22 evening/swing shifts/year. • Internal nighthawk for all ER/STAT/inpatient final reads — day rads not doing overnights. • 24/7 Neuroradiology coverage + 24/7 IR call coverage (internal). • Remote home workstation provided by practice for eligible shifts. • Current open positions include rural WA positions (Moses Lake, Colville), MT (Hamilton), OR (Pendleton) — these offer $90K signing + $20K relocation + annual retention + loan forgiveness.
